What is Java/ByteVerify? I have downloaded this with a Java Plugin?

I downloaded a Java Plugin for my web browser. My Anti-Virus programme has now detected a virus called "Java/ByteVerify" in a package which is part of this plugin. I don't know what the java Plugin does exactly other than some tickers on websites now work. I don't know if this package is needed, but I have moved it to the Virus Vault (quarantined it) just in case. Anyone come across this?

Its a Microsoft Virtual Machine security flaw. There is a patch for it, though I don't have the link to it off hand, but it isn't hard to find. Just go to the Microsoft Downloads page and type it in the "search" box.

It seems this comes along with the Java Runtime Environment. That's usually when I've encountered it anyways.

Hope this helps,
Cheers
