How do I change a 1999 1.2 Renault Clio battery?

My battery is completely dead. I have tried charging it but it doesn't hold the charge at all and will only start with jump leads. I think I need a new battery, but the manual doesn't say how to change it. Can anyone help? If so please email me at richard_offord@yahoo.co.uk

Thanks

take the cables off the battery in the car (usually number 8 spanner) by loosening the bolts on the cables. and loosen the bolt on the plate that is holding the battery in places. Then lift the battery from the car and put the new one in the same way. MAKE SURE THAT THE RED CABLE IS X AND THE BACK CABLE IS +.
