My C240 mercedes has a problems starting from cold. I have taken it to a company call Tehnimerc and he could not find a fault on the scan. I was told I need to take the car to a merc dealership, but that would cost an arm and a leg can you help.

The car does start eventually, but getting worse all the time and taking ever longer to start.

i had similar problem on sprinter van.turned out to be the injectors,only other thing i would check first is the three washers on the fuel rail pressure control valve,i was told by a merc tech that this is often a problem.these cost a £5 and are a lot cheaper checked before major surgery with the injectors.to save me writing again,have a look at the problem 313cdi van answers.i put the whole harrowing experience down in there.

Sounds like possibly 1 or 2 of the glowplugs themselves are down or could be glowplug relay at fault. Does the light come on dashboard and go out as normal or does it constantly flash. If its flashing its definately a glowplug relay fault. These faults will not show up on machine as they are seperate from the engine management/e.c.u.
