Cats broke statue, wife's heartbroken- help?

Our 2 new kittens are getting bigger and used the head of her favorite statue to get on top of the fish tank. In the process they knocked over a statue she had had for 20 years. It is a spanish lady, tall and thin, it is black and has white material inside, also wires and it is solid. Any ideas on what to use as a fill material? There are chunks missing. And she would be broken in half if not for the wire running up and down through her. Thanks for any help.

My daughter's precious Lenox "Belle" statue was broken off her feet at the bas and I tried everything to mend it- no luck. I was standing in the hardware store (yep. a old fashioned hardware store), staring glumly at all of the glues and products available when a kind gentleman suggested that I try one of the 5 Minute Epoxy glues (I bought Flo-Mix by Devcon). It comes in a syringe like double tube so the componants are kept seperate until you use them. Good luck!
