No heat anymore on my Hotpoint WD62 Aquarius 1200 Washer Dryer?

Can someone guide me on how to fix my WD62 Washer Dryer, since it now does not provide any heat when drying clothes. I have ordered a new Heating element/Thermistor off Hotpoint for about £20. That should arrive in about 5-10 days.
How do I easily replace this part, simple instructions would be greatly appreciated. I do have a multi-meter also.
Anything else I should check for would also help!

Thanks for your response. I will follow what you have suggested. The dryer finishes normally (ie. not before the programme is finished).
In about 3-10 days I should receive the new Heater/Thermistor, so I intend to start work on the Washer dryer then. I may email you directly then should I need further assistance. Much appreciated. Andrew

Ok, first check the resistance of the thermostat and one-shot safety stat (black one) on the top of the heater box.
If either one of these are open circuit you'll need to replace the pair.
causes - -:
Check for worn through wires around motor area.
Is the dryer being stopped before the programme's finished?

Try that first, if that doesn't work email me.
Let me know how you get on.
