creda eco 1000 rplace bearings?

the bearings have gone on my creda washing machine, do i have to take the drum out to renew them, or can i do it in situ
Brin Beardsell, November 2007
Hi there, if the washer has the newer drum which is split in the centre then you need a "rear half" drum, not an easy job and fairly expensive. I suspect your machine has the older drum, after unplugging power, take lid off, remove facia, soap drawer and there are six screws, three on top and three under the front panel of machine, (the bit with the door attached to it), remove outer door seal clip and band.remove clips holding the front of the drum to the rest of drum. remove cover plate on rear of washer and unscrew nut, unscrew spider pulley after removing belt, replace nut then hit with hammer to loosen drum, remove nut (keeping nut on protects screw thread) then remove carbon seal on inside of drum, using hammer and bar, from inside drum remove rear bearing first as its easiest, then from rear of drum remove inner bearing, from start to finnish can take from 30 minutes but a seized inner bearing may take a while to remove
