I have a Hoover Six AL120 and have had this problem. Removing the bra wire was tedious and difficult. I had to remove the top and rear panel. Remove the concrete balancing weights, top and bottom. Split the plastic housing surrounding the drum. Remove the rubber seal between the drum and door. Finally, after removing the thermostat, I could fish out the culprit bra wire. Then of course I had to reassemble the entire unit again. Good luck!

I used to work on earlier Hoovers and this was a common problem. First: disconnect the power supply! We used to remove the heater and thermostat from the rear of the tub and shine a torck through one hole and look through the other to fish it out. Hope that helps.
