I'll have a look tomorrow, first problem in 12 years so SWMBO might want a new one.
i wonder if Paul fixed his drier ?

Try a couple of thermostats. About £12 off ebay for the pair. Take the smaller back panel off and they'll be sat in front of you. Two orange wires and 2 blue wires. Just 4 screws hold them both in. Could also be heating element (though less common), not worth the cost of replacing.
