Maytag atlantis washer won't spin?

The belt is attached and it takes in water, but spin cycle doesn't work. Can someone help?

We also have a Maytag Atlantis that doesn't spin out. My husband changed the belt and not a small load will spin but a large one has to be divided into two parts to extract all the water out of the clothes and this is a large capacity washer.
