How do I fix a LOUD knocking sound in a Kenmore dryer model # 86880100?

When the dryer is on, it makes a loud thumping/knocking noise. The clothes do get dry, but the knocking sound is getting worse. My boyfriend has taken the back off of the dryer and can't seem to find the problem. The serial # is M80810905

To my last post (forgot to add this) when removing the top of the dryer, first take of the two screws in back(holding the black plates) then carefully use a screwdriver to pry up the two black plastic clips holding the front down. Then lift of the top keeping in mind the wires are still connected. Of course the dryer should have already been un-plugged.

Just pulled mine apart and what was making the loud thumping/klanking noise was the rear drum support roller's. The bearings went bad in the rollers which allowed the drum to ride lower and caused it to bang on the rear metal plate. Had to pull the top and front on the dryer to get to it. Pull the top by removing the two srews on the back of dryer near the top corners(srews are holding to black plates). Then remove two screws holding the front of the dryer(where the door is), they are located on the inside of dryer near the top front corners. Then lift the front off. You must remove the belt before lifting the drum out ( pay attention to how the belt tension pulley is holding the belt). From it banging in the back it mest up the rear felt seal which is glued to the drum. Found the parts for it on http://www.repairclinic.com. Hope these are the right parts (they look exactly the same). They want $33.95 for the rear felt seal (item#3028) and $17.95 for the rollers (item# 3436) or $28.60 for the rollers, belt, and tensioner all in one (item#587636). Think i'm going to just leave the felt seal seeing as though its not to bad. Hope this helps someone.
