I have bought a wireless security system but need to remove my Optima XM system and wiring. How do i do this without activating the siren? I have downloaded the user manual but it dosn't tell me. thanks

hi loopy, if the bell box has an SAB fitted as soon as you take off the main and battery supplies it will self actuate (ring) this can go on for 20 minutes or untill the battery in the bell box finally dies. if it doesn't have an SAB then it won't, but please make sure you turn it off first at the main switch ok? and remove/make safe the cable from the fused spur etc before you switch it back on.
