How can i fix the floopy gearchange?

The gearlever in my 106 quicksilver is very floopy making it difficult to engage any gear. The worse by far in reverse, and this generally means crunching the gears to get it in.

These gear linkages have ball jointed ends (which occasionally drop out, leaving you with no gears!). You'll find the ball joints easy enough to replace as they come with the rods as well.
