The machine will not spin or empty the water. Can you help?

Can you tell me where the filter is on the Hotpoint wf530g washing machine, I've removed the front bottom panel but there is a red cover over where the filter should be which I can't remove, My machine is leaking and keeps stopping before it reaches final spin and I can't find this information in my instruction manual, thanks

try cleaning out the filter first as they become blocked and look at the drain pipe for blockages
