Heating not working in 99 (s) clio?

Hi,
I have a s reg auto clio and the heating in the car is not working. It blows out lukewarm air on 1, but any higher it only blows out cool air. Someone told me it might be the thermostat, but how do you replace it/find it.

If you want to replace the thrmostat, just follow the top radiator hose. Right were it connects to the engine you will see a metal dome looking piece, this is thethermostat housing cover. It usualy has 2 or 3 bolts holding it on.Remove the bolts and the thermostat is inside it. First I would check to see if the thermostat is working before you remove it. The best way to check is to let the car get up to operating temp. and fell the top radiator hose,if it is hot then most likely the thermostat is ok. Also your car will run hot at idle if the thermostat is bad. The other thing it could be is your heater core. I would buy some good radiator flush and flush out the cooling system first & see if that helps. That would be the cheapest thing to try first. Hope this helps you
