where is the starter and starter cyanoid located on my lincoln mark viii?

yes i need to replace my starter and or test the cylanoid but dont know where is is located please help

The easiest way to find the starter would be to follow your battery cable,it will run right to the starter. Most solenoids are on the side of the starter. You should first check your battery cables to make sure that they are clean of corrosion & have a good connection thats one of the main causes for starter failer. If you still have trouble locating the starter it will be mounted at the backside of the engine,at the flywheel. Hope this helps you
