how can i fix my cooker hood?

its a zanussi zhc 916x and the extractor will not work. replaced the motor but still no joy.

If its not the motor, I guess its the switches that are at fault - especially if its a built in type, with the hinged door at the front. If the light comes on, then electricity is reaching the unit so any fuse is ok.
