My shower does not work?

Hi have a gainsborough Style 400X shower unit, when i pull on the switch for the shower unit there is power but water does not come out of shower unit. Any idea what could be causing this problem? If the problem is the solenoid [Eletrical Valve] how do i replace it, or prove that this electrical valve is causing the problem?

So long as there is water pressure to the shower then indeed you are right regarding your diagnosis. Spares are available for these but due to the electrical safety involved you would need to be so very careful. If you decide to buy a solenoid, you'll see where it is and how its connected once the shower front cover comes off but I really can't recommend it - sorry.
