Where can I see the model number on my Singer Starlet? The foot pedal is dead (something burnt inside it). Is it possible to repair the foot pedal?

Well, I sorted it out. Turned out to be a burnt capacitor on the foot pedal itself; it was causing very irratic behavior of the machine itself!
Anyway, just thought I'd put a finale to my tale.
Machine works GREAT!
