I have this system and 3 of the 4 handsets no longer work, they seem to melt the batteries!! Unit is now just over 12 months old so no come back.

Anyone else have a similar problem?

I had a similar problem with a 3105. Switching the power off to the base unit and switching on again has cured it, I suspect the base unit got confused following a recent power cut.

You don't need a receipt. A credit card statement or similar proof of purchase will suffice. Second, under the Supply of Goods and Services Act, if a product fails in under six months it is up to the retailer to prove that they are no faulty not you to prove that they are.

We have exactly the same problem, all three handsets became de-registered 2 days ago and won't re-register. BT were not helpful and there reply was 'woo it seems like you have a problem'!

Even through we only bought the macine in July, as we can't find the receipt, it's our tough luck.

Hope that you fair better.
