renault clio high beam won't engage?

every thing on the stick works except high beam lights indicators flash all ok except high beam
make is renault clio 1.4 m reg

First thing to do is check the obvious. Make sure the bulbs are ok, I've seen this before and people dont notice that a bulb is blown until they are both gone. If they are ok try the fuses, usually one for each side.
