how can i replace the headlight bulbs on my citroen xantia 1999?

how do I get access to the headlight bulbs on my citroen xantia.

I found it a LOT easier to do the nearside one with my left hand. And I needed a pair of pliers to twist the housing out of its socket.

Open the Bonnet, directly behind the headlights are covers, clipped in at one end by a spring clip that locates them and at the other end that plugs into the cover housing, it will help if you have a torch as they are a little difficult to see, remove the covers and you will see the bulbs, unplug the bulb that you need to remove, unclip the spring clip that retains it and replace with a new bulb, be careful not to touch the bulb as you fit it, hold it by the bayonet, then simply reverse the process above, don't refit the cover until you are sure that the new bulb is working, hope that helps.
