I did this then my key snapped into the ignition ive been forced to use a screwdriver in my barrel and now that's worn away its sat on my drive for two days while my children have to get the bus in the snow because I can't get someone out to it til Monday I feel like joing wires together but would probably electrocute myself !!! One very frustrated mum :((((

take care when re-fitting barrel, you will have to align it with locking mechanism [it should slide in quite easy!]

hi to remove the switch you have to remove the ignition barrel first, turn the key to position 1 then theres a small hole in the top under the wiper switch, put a small screw driver in it and pull the barrel out, then on the ignition switch you have to squeeze the sides and slide it off
