Thermostat on Hotpoint FDW80 dishwasher?

does anyone know where the thermostat on a hotpoint dishwasher FDW80 is located? the machine is showing a AL08 error, which is heater time out, I've check the heater and its working correctly. My next thought is to check out the thermostat, but I can't see where it is located.

After looking closer, isn't the thermostat built into the heater?

Strange, but i have just stripped mine down to with the same problem, and as far as i can tell my heater is fine too!! i have checked the control board out and that Looks ok (unable to test further really).. so i'm a little stuck too now!!
