I keep getting water collecting in the spare tyre well. Not a lot, maybe a mug full over a long time period. There is no sign of leakage from outside the car that I can see. Can I put a drain-hole in the well and if so how do I safely do it?

Either the back window is leaking or the trunk lid seal is leaking.Check for trunk lid adjustment on hinges of lid.Also check real good around the window seal at the bottom. There should be a rubber plug in a drain hole in the bottom of trunk,remove rubber plug.If no hole drill one in the lowest area, check under that area of the car to be sure not to drill anything else.You should be able to tell once youve drilled through trunk deck.
