The front and rear windscreen wash pump has stopped working on my 2001 406 HDi Estate, although the wipers do still operate when 'wash/wipe' switch is operated. Checked the fuses - all seem to be OK. Also checked water level(!)
Is there a relay I should be looking for, or any suggestions how to fix this?
Have the same problem. I can hear the pump working but nothing coming out the jet. Thought it might be frozen up but temperatures now above freezing. Does the jet on the tailgate come off so I can try and flush the pipes out?

I have the same sort of issue on my 406 hdi estate. Front washers and wipers work fine. Rear wiper works fine but rear washer doesn't work. Any body got any ideas how to sort this problem out ? Thanks

If you can hear the pump then it is likely to be a blockage in one of the hoses or the spray jets. Have used pins, wire or needle in jets. For the hoses I usually blow this out using a powered tyre pump.
Current problem is that I'm blowing the blockage back into the washer tank so that the pipe gets blocked again soon afterwards.

Hello Joe, I have exactly the same problem on my 406 HDi 2001. Wipers work fine but no wash. I've checked the pump and that's ok, so it must either be a relay (where is it?) or the switch. Have you got any further?
