Vokera 24/96 RSE Flowmatic Burner stays on?

Hi, I have the above model Vokera boiler, however the main burner will not shut off, so it is heating the house constantly, even when set to timed with the clock set so that the heating should never come on. The only way to stop this is to turn off the main power to the boiler, however if this is left and then switched back on the main burner again ignites and will not turn off.

Had this problem with mine. It was a sticking diverter valve. An overhaul kit was £30 and you can do it yourself if you're reasonably mechanically minded. Try hitting the front of the boiler just above the timer when it's stuck on, this used to release the valve and make it switch off.

...if it is the microswitches then you should be able to turn down the boiler by turning down the DHW temperature control when it is misbehaving, this tells you it thinks it is heating water for the hot taps...

Perhaps it thinks that there is hotwater demand due to faulty DHW microswitches?. Shouldn't be too expensive a part to swap. Take care, mains voltages!. Maybe a job for the Corgi man.
