the ignitor has stopped clicking, and i have to light the cooktop by hand where can i find a new ignitor?
sharyn, October 2012
my appliance repair person told me this is something that happens when the range gets wet, and it's true it happens after i clean the burners or when it's very humid out. this happened in a house i rented that had another kind of burner gas top too.

thank you. Bought an old house with a Credo and all of a sudden it started the clicking....
i unplugged it and the clicking stopped...
if the crack is with the gas connector, it might be emitting gas?

the switch under the knob that turns on the gas is cracked and you need to replace it. I had the same problem about 3 years ago. now I need to replace another one, and I am trying to find the paper work I had so I can get another one.

replace the ignitor, if you can find one. If you find one let me know as I also need one.
