peugeot 206 cc my car overheated?

my car overheated this morning and we filled it with water and it seems ok but there is a silver metal pipe at the bottom that runs to my radiator and its dripping what is this pipe and how can i fix it.

thank you that is proberly wht it is as its at the bottom of the radiator, it overheated as i hadnt put water in it for a while typical girl

Are you sure its a steel pipe? Normally overflow pipes are polythene and come out of the expansion bottle (often part of the radiator itself). This allows excess water to escape if the car has overheated. I'm curious to know why it overheated?
