IS IT POSSIBLE TO MEND AN ELECTRIC MOTOR PART 144624 FOR A BOSCH VACC. CLEANER MODEL ACTIVA 63. THE MOTOR TURNS VERY FAST, BUT THERE ARE SPARKS ALL OVER THE PLACE COMING FROM THE INSIDE MAINLY WHERE THE SLATE POLES TOUCH THE MOTOR. DO I NEED A NEW ELECT. MOTOR.

Gus ...... not uncommon for the brushes (slate poles) on a motor to emit sparks. I would only worry if the motor itself is getting very hot from them. One thing you can do is to change the brushes and clean out the gaps of carbon between each segment of the commutator (where you say the slate polls touch the motor) You can use a bit of scotch pad to clean the brass segments to.
