sony vaio laptop power supply beeping & not working?

anyone got any ideas on this one.my sony vaio power supply has decided to stop working .the little green light does'nt come on & the power pack itself is beeping when its plugged in.anyone know whats up with this?

This may seem simple, but in most cases works..

Simply take your battery off for a few minutes then place back in..

In most cases it just needs to reset itself..

Hopefully that should work..
