How on earth do you get into a Dyson dco5?

The electrical cable will no longer wind in - how do you gain access to the unit?

Easy....simply prise out the yellow plugs in the centre of the wheels using a small screwdriver or bradawl and then pull off the wheels using brute force. Then undo the five screws. Bingo!

You can't take the wheels off until you're inside - and then you'll probably not want to. There are 5 screws holding the top on, all are "star" type. Undo the visible 1. Pop off the on/off switch & rewind tabs (rewind requires that you 1st remove part of ducting). Then lever wheel away & block (I wedged in screwdriver handle) then undo the 2 scres on each side - use star drive if you have a long enough one, I used regular 'driver of exact right width (checked using extracted visible 1). Good luck.

Good day all - Please note that I ma having the same problem getting into the DC05. I have seen some screws when I pull the wheels away - Have you managed to get the wheels off?
Any help is much appreciated
