it is making a loud noise from engine, no oil problems, it is a tapping rattle noise but loud

Caroline, its impossible to diagnose this fault as it could be anything from a water pump (cheap fix) to massive internal engine wear (scrappy job) or anything in between. However some kind local mechanic could surely have a listen for you?
