how can i fix my ford courier van?

the timing belt has snaped has it damaged the valves

could also check valve clearances-any excessivley wide could also indicate bent valve!

According to Autodata this engine is an 'interference' type so there is a good chance that one or more of the valves are bent....put a new belt on, turn the engine over by hand using a spanner on the crankshaft bolt and see if you can feel any resistance. If not, have a compression check done on each cylinder before firing up - you may get away with it.
