Changing the tail gate struts on an astravan `01?

Need to change the tailgate struts, as some idiot bent one. The boot will shut, but it can be stiff sometimes and i want to get it sorted! Thanks

there is usually a small locking clip on ball joint that sort of swings round and then pulls out to release strut from ball fitting,-take care when removing struts as tailgate is very heavy without them!
