My skil saw is arcing quite bad. the saw is running but has many sparks?

My skil saw is arcing bad but seems to run alright. Is this normal? If not what can I do? I have replaced the brushes at least twice. The blade seems to still arc. What can I do?

There are two reasons for excessive arcing on power tools 1) the brushes need replacing 2) the commutator that the brushes press on to is getting worn. Its probably just as well to use the machine until it packs in, but check the brushes again. However, some arcing is normal at the brush contact area - but the sparks shouldn't go all the way round the commutator.
