Change the belt on a GE Profile Clothes Dryer Model # DPSR473EWOWW?

I need to replace the broken belt on my GE Profile dryer model # DPSR473EWOWW Serial # LT738264A. I have a new belt but do not know how to take to dryer apart inorder to replace it. Please help. Thanks

The belt tensioner/bar does not get tight enough to keep the belt tight around the drum. I have a GE 4 yrs old electric dryer.

Actuall there were two screws that I had to loosen. The heads of which were pointed down. After removing those screws the top lifted off easily. The belt was not overly difficult to replace after that. There was padding on the lower half of the drum which at first looked like dust. My pulley was bad as well. With a new belt and pulley things are working fine.

They told me to insert a putty knife about two inches to either side right below the top so that the top will lift off. So far, it hasn't worked. Will let you know if I figure it out.
