What does F-12 mean Indesit Evolution 1600?

My Indesit Evolution 1600 is not working but is showing F-12 in the display panel. It fills up and empties but is ignoring whatever I program it to do. I have lost my instruction booklet and wondered if there is a troubleshooting guide for this problem.
