Renault Clio - Pwer steering yes or no ? help please?

does anyone know if a T reg 1.2 clio should have power steering (thinks its a desire) - have just bought one and its really heavy to turn - ifso, is it likely to be the relay, the fluid level or something else ?

Look for a reservoir under the bonnet........ it should say steering fluid on it! check that it`s topped up, if you have one.
