LEYLAND CF85 REVERSE LIGHTS?

MY CF85 REV LIGHTS WONT WORK . THE LOOM SEEMS TO BE OK , BUT I THINK THE WIRES FROM THE GEARBOX GO TO THE ECU AND NOT LIKE NORMAL TO THE BACK LIGHTS ANYONE ANY IDEAS.

ur in luck im a daf auto electrician. F&G comms huddersfield. usuall on these vehicles theres nothing wrong with the cab wiring but they are proge to rubbing in afew places under the cab and along chassis.firstly theres the main wiring loom that runs from the bulkhead connections down the N/S of the vehicle and then along the front behind the bumper which is known to have a few issues with. secondly the gearbox has a plug mounted at the O/S rear for all the switches and sensors for gearbox and PTO if fitted the wiring is prone to rubbing along the top of the gearboxor even breaking in the plug. by the way if you didnt know the reverse switch is the one sat upright in the top center of the box.
