Is there a specific tool for removing the pulley spring assembly? My mower is the regular 2stroke motor

i always just grip the large nut in the top of a vice and get a pair of vice grips and grip the other side and turn anti clockwise . watch out for the thin clip which is there as it is necessary to fit it properly or it wont work when you rebuild it
