procedure for replacing thermostat rover 45 1.6?

I think my the. My Car is A Rover 45 and I think the therrmostat is faulty and needs replacing. Please advise procedure for this operation My car is a Rover 45 1.6 IXS . Year 2000

follow the top hose from radiator to engine,as this reaches engine this is the thermostat housing usually 3 bolt's/nut's remove these & it will expose the thermostat,hope this help's
