My cable has come apart at the switch,into the sealed handle unit. could you please tell me how to get intounit to repair.

Firstly if the handle is sealed it is a part which you will have to replace unless you are skilled are forging a new handle or can carefully prise it apart. Unfortunately you will probably find that as soon as you attempt to open this unit springs might fly out in all directions and you may never get it back into position again. So if it is not screwed do not attempt to take it apart.This is a common fault on some makes of Dyson cleaner this is not the first time i have come across this

Usually there is a cover, held in place with a single torx screw. You may have to release the dust drum or flexible wand to find it though.
