my 2000 estate stopped working, fault was in the connection plug, open tail gate top right corner rubber plug grommet, pull
this out gentley to find connector block wrapped in foam sleeve
press in the side clips and pull apart the plug, three pin connection, on my laguna these 3 pins were badley corroded,
scrape clean and spray with WD40 worked a treat.
