how can i fix my Hotpoint CTD40 Tumble Dryer?

My Hotpoint CDT40 Tumble Dryer has packed in yet again, the
power light is on but when you press start it trips the circut breaker leaving my house in darkness can anyone help.

If you remove the condenser unit, put your hand right at the back your'll find that theres alot of water. Use kitchen paper to absorb all the water, it should work straight away.

Mine is doing exactly the same thing, did you try the leaving it for a while? Did it work?

we have the same issue but found that if you take out all the damp/wet clothes and leave it for about a week for the dryer to dry out then try it, we also found that if damp clothes are left in for any time it causes this problem, hope this helps

i think it's either the motor has siezed or the on button has a short?
