checking the filter and solenoid on my Gainsborough 8/5 scl?

How do I check to see if my filter is blocked or my solenoid is not fully open on my Gainsborough 8.5 scl shower -please ?.

check the solenoild needs a multi meter do a ohms test if 3.4 or higher its ok.
check if power is ok to solenoild when on.

the filter is located in the end of the solenoid valve where the inlet pipe joins.
