my white knight condenser tumble dryer keeps tripping the electrics. After 2o seconds a burning smell comes from it.

Hi, I had the same problem and I changed the capacitor. It has been over a week now and its not tripped. It only cost £9.80 for the part and an hour of my time, fingers crossed it keeps working

Do not attempt to remedy this yourself this could be quite dangerous do not attempt or take any advice on fixing this problem yourself call a qualified engineer. This problem could be due to the motor itself either the motor is shorting out which could be down to the fact that it needs new brushes or the motor may need replacing itself. Contact an appliance engineer or if it is still under warantee call the supplier you purchased the machine from.
