If I remember correctly, there isn't a mark on the crankshaft pulley - instead you are supposed to lock the flywheel with a pin that goes through the block and into the flywheel itself. I personally dont bother - I lock up the camshaft and injector pump with 8mm bolts, and paint my own marks on the crank pulley - this way I can see if the thing moves when I'm doing the job.
