Jack up car, make sure you use axle stands to safely support your vehicle while working on it.Remove the road wheels. Next open the bonnet and take the cap off your brake fluid reservoir. Put plenty of old rag around the reservoir in case you get any spilled brake fluid make usre the rag catches any spills do not get this onto your body work. Next make sure the steering lock is off. Turn the wheel and undo the two torx bolts you may need to buy a set. Once these are out pull the caliper which contains the piston to the front of the car you might have to manouvre or wiggle the caliper to get it free. With the caliper now free of the mech remove the brake pads taking note of any shims which might be fitted make sure these go back the same as they come out might be a good idea to get a manual or if you have a digital camera take pictures before removing. Once the new pads are in position and any wires connected the next job is getting the piston into the caliper. For this i use a G Clamp and wind it until the piston goes back into the bore when it is at the end of its travel remove the G clamp and refit the caliper. The torx bolts should be checked with a torque wrench to make sure they are tightened to the manufacturers setting. once done check your work once happy put wheels back on and tighten any wheel bolts Before letting the car down pump the brake pedal make sure it goes hard this then means the piston in that caliper has now moved and taking up its position. check each wheel by turning to make sure there is no binding the wheel will meet some resistance but you should be able to turn it freely. Once happy let the vehicle down put the cap back on your reservoir or fill to required level if level is below recommended line. Before road testing just start the vehicle creep back and brake now creep forward and brake. Ok now road test. Your done.
