This worked for me: Unplug the machine. Take the back off and you'll see a plastic bottle on the back of the drum. Its part of a pressure sensor that measures the water level in the drum. The bottle can get gummed up causing the machine to think there's water left to drain. Pull it off the back of the drum and clean it out with a pipe cleaner. Also clean the tube it plugs into.
Apparently a periodic "service wash" - Sodium Bicarbonate at max. temperature prevents the problem.
