how do i derestrict my yamaha neos 50 (2002)?

i bought my bike second hand it does about 40mph but ive
been informed it could do more if i derestrict it.
But i dont know how to.

if you take of exhaust some bikes have a metal washer inside exhaust at the manifold end this can be taken out the other type of restrictor can be on the fuel side this is a bit hard to explain on line
